Last Minute Christmas Gift Ideas!

I didn't think I was going to have another post for you all before Christmas, but I remembered I had started this one! I didn't want to wait until next year, because I think they are some really cute ideas!!
**If you were here earlier, and had trouble with some of the links, I think I've fixed them! Enjoy**

My little guy would love playing with this playdoh, good luck trying to keep him from eating it though!

A super yummy, (at least it looks yummy) cookie mix, and so festive with the peppermint!

I think this is perfect for a crafty guy. I would throw in a few clamps, a pair or work gloves, and I always get my man a new level. (It's a joke we've had for a long time, I think my husband has the most levels ever!)

I could always go for a new, cute apron! How adorable is this?

I know I would love something like this! Throw in a couple of cookies cutters and call it done!! This site has LOTS of ideas for different types of bakers! Be sure and check them out.

I haven't seen anything as cute as this! Perfect for any little girl who loves earrings!

This would make a great teacher gift or gift of the office supply lover (aka: my dad!)! Don't forget to go to the site to download the free tag for your hi-lite goody bag!

How about a little pampering? Here are a couple of different gifts for spa like treatments!

Need a few more different {Everything} In A Jar Ideas? This post has some great ideas with free printables!

And let's not forget about our furry friends! My Molly Jo Dog l would love some of these!

No time to put together a jar gift? Well grab a gift bag and some scrapbook paper and throw this adorable gift together! I may have to do this next year instead of baking the goodies....

I hope you all have a Merry Christmas! Enjoy the time with your family & friends and please remember the Reason for the Season, the birth of Jesus Christ! You can find the story of Christmas here

Christmas Tutorial: Semi-Homemade Christmas Card & A Giveaway

I wanted to share with you all the Guest Post I did over at Dear Creatives last week on how to make a "Semi-Homemade" Christmas Card. There is also a giveaway for the winner to receive a set of eight of these very cute Snowman Greeting Cards. Be Sure to head over to the Guest Post to enter for your chance to win.

Today I'm going to show you how to make a "Semi-Homemade"  Christmas Card. If you are like me, you like to make homemade things or maybe you would like to try to make something homemade, but you just don't think you are all that "crafty." Well, this is a quick, cute way for anyone to dress up a boxed set of Christmas cards to give it that homemade touch!

Supplies:
Set of boxed of Christmas Cards: I got mine from the Dollar Bins at Target
*Embellishments: I used a variety of rhinestones with different colors and sizes
*Ribbon
Stamps and Ink
Scissors
Liquid Adhesive
*Decide how you would like to embellish your cards. I think these snowmen cards are cute as is, but I think they needed a little bit more so I decided to add rhinestones and ribbon.

Cut out how many ribbons you will need. I needed eight ribbon to add to the snowman for his bow-tie. They are pretty small, but they are just enough.

Once the ribbons are made, you will need to attach them. I used my liquid adhesive, but you could also use a hot glue gun. Just be careful when working with small ribbon that you don't burn yourself, I know I always do!

I then added a rhinestone to the center of each snowflake. The rhinestones I have already have an adhesive, but because the cards are going to be handled a lot I like to add adhesive to them just to make sure they stay on.

I decided I wanted to dress up the envelopes a bit too. So I used a small square snowman stamp and my red ink pad and stamped the image in the lower left corner.

There you have it! Quick, easy, and cute!

Thanks for having me! I hope you liked the tutorial and are able to find some boxed cards so you can make them "Semi-homemade!"

Now, how would you like to win a set of eight of the snowman cards I just showed you? Well, here is your chance. One lucky winner will get a set of eight already "semi-homemade" cards and envelopes.

All you have to do is head on over to the Dear Creatives Blog where I did the guest post to get the details! There are super-low (ok, at this point no entries) so chances of winning are pretty great! Shipping paid by me!

Good Luck and I hope you found the tutorial helpful!

Christmas Tutorial: Stocking Gift Card Holder

As Christmas shopping is slowly starting to come to an end and gift giving starts to begin, you may be left with either no idea what to get the person you have left on your list, or you know, and you are just waiting to purchase the gift card they want at the last minute.

Well, I have a quick tutorial for a cute gift card holder that will help you to personalize your "last minute" gift. It involves felt, no sewing, enough room for a gift card and even a candy cane, and did I mention I think it's cute?!?!

Supplies:
  • Felt sheets or by the yard ( I chose red and green. If you want a white cuff you will also need to purchase some white felt. I bought the fuzzy, "stocking" kind off of the bolt (not pictured here.)
  • Fabric Adhesive ( I used Fabri-Tac)
  • Scissors
  • Stocking Pattern

You can use whatever pattern for the stocking, cuff and loop-hanger. For me, it was quick to just draw one up onto paper.

I took my felt sheet and folded it in half so I could cut both stockings out at once. Then using some of the  scraps of felt, I cut out the hanger.

Now you will want to add Fabri-Tac to all the sides EXCEPT the top, that is going to be the opening. I say that because I know when I'm in a hurry I don't pay attention to those things and I would glue the top shut! :-) This is also when you would add your hanger, just attach it with Fabri-Tac and sandwich it between both of the stockings.

Here is the stocking together with the hanger sandwiched between the two stockings.

Now to add the white cuff. This is what you DON'T want to do. I originally cut out two pieces, but didn't like the gap and the red showing. Not very Pretty!

You DO want one long piece that will wrap around the stocking top.
It will look so much nicer. Trust me! :-)

Add Fabri-Tac to the top of the stocking on both sides.
Wrap the cuff all the way around to the hanger side.
You are going to add more Fabri-Tac and "squeeze" the two ends shut.

And there you have it! A cute way to wrap-up your gift card, gift-giving this year!

I hope you enjoyed the tutorial! Do you normally give gift cards out? I would love to hear your popular gift card requests!

Guest Blogger: Painting Walls Tip & A Giveaway

Hello Bean Bug Crafts followers

My name is Brooke from Get Outta My head Please I'm married to a Wonderful Brilliant handsome Man Lonnie Aka BIG ( since our son is also Lonnie ) I stay at home with our 3 wonderful sons (7,6,3) I love crafting and designing and blogging , I love to sing and dance with my children , I'm not to fond of dishes and dirty laundry there really isn't much else to know about me Lol

We moved into our new house last year and really have done no big updates yet .  I was told that no matter what I do in this new house I'm ot allowed to Paint , I guess My painting skills at our old house were NOT so great ??? I always hit the ceiling and molding . So he promises that we will hire a professional to do all the painting in the new house which was OK by me heck painting and my fibromyliga don't mix very well anyways , So anyways I found this site called Olioboard its a great site to make a design board or create a complete room design . This is what I came up with for the Boys room which was not a great idea since I'm not really good with waiting and once I make my mind up on how I what something to look its really hard not to just attempt to get it done !

So while Big was away on business I went to Ace to ask some questions and to pick a paint color I wanted when a Lady stopped me and had overheard me talking about how Im NOT allowed to paint , she said that she is the same way and that she found a tool that fixed the problem this wonderful little tool

So I Picked My paint color and my rollers and got home quick I only had 2 days to get it done before he got home .

Here is what the boys room looked like before sorry for poor pictures I was using my phone

First BAD idea I had with their room is letting them stick all these Dollar Store Re-movable Stickers to the wall it was a HUGE pain to remove them but once that was done it was time to get to work.

So I started to tape the ceiling just in case

LOOK! it was a perfect line it was so fast too I went around the whole room in maybe 10 mins and it was all cut in .

Stop over at GOMHP to see it when its all done!

So I thought since Bean Bug Crafts was nice enough to invite me here to share with all of you ,
I would offer a giveaway to her followers , How would one of you like to receive one of these Trimmers to try out yourself ?  You can enter below by "liking" our Facebook Pages and by leaving a comment on BBC .
( so that is a total of 3 entry's ) One Winner will be chosen on 12/22 Midnight EST and will have 48 hours to claim prize .
