Halloween Fabric Banner Tutorial Revisited

I'm going to re-share with you all the Halloween Fabric Bunting post that I did last year. I didn't have to many readers back then and think it's still a cute banner so why not? It's one of the first "in-depth" tutorials I did too! 

(Not sure if that's a bad or good thing! LOL) Enjoy! 

I love banners and pennants and have made a ton with paper, but just haven't gotten around to doing the fabric ones. I have the fabric for it (oh do i have the fabric!), it was just a matter of taking the time to do it.

There are so many different ways to make a fabric banner and part of my problem is I wasn't sure how I wanted to do it. Well, I decided how and I made a Halloween Fabric Banner! I love how it turned out so much that I wrote up my first tutorial and I'm super excited to be sharing it with you. This was super quick & easy to make and if you wanted to get in a last minute Halloween project this would be perfect. I was able to make it in a couple of hours and that was with my two little ones awake!

I've tried to explain what I'm doing in the photos the best I can, but if I've missed something or if you have any questions or comments please feel free to share.

15 Halloween Tasty Sweet Treats

Hey All! Since I spent most of Monday at the dentist office, I figure why not add  some super sweet Halloween treats to this whole party planning thing? I mean it is Halloween after all and isn't that really what it's all about, the treats?!?  Right?

 

So here are 15 super yummy treats I found. 

Oh, and since I was a Dental Hygienist before my Stay at Home gig, may I remind you to please brush and floss all those adorable little pearlies in your life. Don't want the sugar bugs to take over during this super sweet time of the year ;-) 

15 Halloween Savory Eat - Treats

I've been trying to plan something to make for the "Monsterly Main Food" for our little party and I found trying to come up with something Halloween, without being to spooky or gross, and kid-friendly can be a little difficult.   

 

So I looked around good 'ol Google and Pinterest and came up with a few things, fifteen to be exact, that might be worth trying. So here are 15 Halloween Savory Eat Treats, and there are even a couple of "healthier" options included. 

I know, that's kind of a crazy thing coming from me ;-)   

Tuesday (Thursday) Tutorial: Halloween Mini Accordian Album

Sorry the tutorial is late this week. I've had two sick little ones and a Halloween party and well, I'm just tired. (And I have to apologize for the quality of the pics it was late and no natural light left, so please ignore the darkness and shadows.)

And I know Halloween is over and I'm sure you are tired of hearing of Halloween, but I wanted to show you this cute tutorial I found and show you how I turned it into a cute Halloween Mini Accordion Album-BeanBugCrafts style :-)  So now that Halloween is over and you have those adorable pictures of your little ones you will have somewhere to display them and show them off!

I'm not going to re-write the tutorial they did all that work here. So be sure you go there to get the actual directions.

Supplies Needed: 1-12x12 Sheet of paper; paper for matting photos; embellishments that you will want to use: ribbon, paper, stickers, etc; ribbon for tying your album together and of course your cute pics. I used photos approximately the same size as a wallet (slightly smaller),  but you can crop down a 4x6 photo to the desired size.

I used two-sided Halloween pattern paper so I could have my son's pictures on one side and my daughters on the other side. (Heidi Grace Designs "Jeepers Creepers"-which apparently is no longer available because I could not find it online anywhere. I know that I did purchase it at Jo-Anns this year, so you can check there.) The black cardstock is Bazzil cardstock and the Halloween Dimensional stickers are by K&Company "Happy Halloween" & "Spooky Halloween".

Attach the title "Halloween 2011"to a piece of black cardstock then attach to the front cover. I started out using adhesive, but decided I wanted to use 3-D foam adhesive to add dimension. I printed the title  in PhotoShop Elements using the font Cracked (Sorry I can't remember the font size).

Tear your matting cardstock to the desired size. I made my mats slightly bigger than the photos. I just eyeballed it, no exact measurements here.I then attached ribbon to each of the pages using sticky tape, you can use regular adhesive too.

Now attach your photos. I also printed their name and age  n PhotoShop Elements using the font Cracked (and again, I can't remember the font size).

You can add as many embellishments as you want. I decided to leave mine simple this year *gasp* but I need to move on to other projects and I'm just happy to have these pictures "scrapbooked"  I couldn't do it, I had to add embellishments! I couldn't just leave it with just ribbon, I just couldn't!!! :-)

Wordless Wednesday: It was a Spooky Snowy Halloween!

This was my baby girls first Halloween and the little guys third. Of course this was his first Halloween where he really got into the candy so we had our hands full trying to keep him from eating all of it up at once! We did let him have some fun the chocolate though!

And we had a couple of trick-or-treaters. 

They were pretty easy to please. 

They did cause a bit of a traffic jam though. 

That was pretty much our Halloween. Cute, simple and snowy! I think my little people made the cutest Pumpkin and Farmer combo ever, don't you?
